at the Walled Garden Treberfydd on Wednesday 16 May 2018
A practical workshop that will challenge you to rethink your vegetable garden. Techniques to improve soil structure and fertility that will generate healthy, organic crops. How to organize your kitchen garden to increase yield, avoid gluts and extend the seasons.
The workshop will run from 10am to 4pm including a two course lunch. Coffee will be available beforehand from 9.30am and tea and cake afterwards from 4pm, so there will be plenty of time to wander around the Walled Garden and buy plants, herbs, vegetables, flowers and fruit trees.
Cost £80 per head, maximum 12 participants.
James Clapp has immersed himself in organic kitchen gardening for fifteen years. He has worked as a Field Supervisor at Riverford Organic, run a walled vegetable garden in Ceredigion and trained under Iain Tolhurst at the Hardwick Estate. He was Head Grower at the walled gardens at Penpont for 4 years and spent a year in charge of the kitchen gardens at Le Manoir aux Quatre Saisons. He is passionate about soil, growing and good food!
