Friday 13 September 2019
Beautiful, ornamental plants that are also edible, all growing in the Walled Garden. Chris will show you and talk about Szechuan pepper, Quince and Medlar, Turmeric and Ginger, Chilean Guava, Autumn Olive, Crown Prince squash, fruit trees and perennial vegetables including Artichokes and Cardoons. A fascinating, and tasty, workshop. Chris will talk about how to grow, harvest and consume the different crops, and where to site them for maximum impact and productivity.
The workshops will run from 10am to 4pm including a two course lunch. Coffee will be available beforehand and tea and cake afterwards, so there will be plenty of time to wander around the Walled Garden and buy plants, herbs, vegetables, flowers and fruit trees.
